Go Wild With Seal

We realize that at first wild game can seem a little intimidating. But each different game has its own flavour characteristics and can be a very rewarding meal. If you have never tried seal, it is similar to beef but carries its own unique and inviting taste.

The hunt to eat healthy has led to more and more Canadians adding wild game to their diet. There are many factors that consumers weight before making this decision. Here are a couple reasons why SeaDNA Seal Meat is a great, healthy choice:

Benefits Of Wild Game Vs. Farm Meats

1. LEANER:

Most farm-raised animals live a much more sedentary lifestyle and often have a higher fat diet designed to increase bulk. Wild game eat a natural diet and are generally much more active. Seal is incredibly lean (2% fat) as the fat layer is separate from the meat of the mammal.

2. NATURALLY RAISED:

SeaDNA Seal Meat is wild caught in the icy waters off the coast of Atlantic Canada. It is free of added hormones or antibiotics.

3. CONTAINS OMEGA-3:

Wild game meat has Omega-3 running through it and seal is no different. Omega-3’s have been linked to reducing the risk of heart disease and can aid in the battle against arthritis among other benefits.

4. MORE NUTRITIOUS:

Game is known for its great nutritional value and seal certainly fits the bill. It is packed with protein, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and vitamin B-12.

5. LOW IN FAT AND CALORIES:

When compared to farmed animals such as cows and chickens, SeaDNA seal meat has an average of 2% fat while their domesticated competitors typically have a fat content of 25-30%. Not just any fat either. We’re talking a lot less saturated fat (the bad fat).  Compared to other wild game meat, it is the lowest in calories (100 Kcal/100g).

Seal Meat Cuts

If you’re wondering about the variety of cuts available, seal steaks, seal shoulders (flipper), sausages, merguez, burger are the most common options, and seal sausages is a surprisingly lean choice.

Cooking Seal Meat

When it comes to cooking wild game, you may be interested to know that the guidelines are pretty similar to how you would cook any red meat. There is only one hard-set rule with cooking wild meats: don’t overcook. As previously mentioned, wild game is very lean, which means that if you cook it too long, the meat is sure to dry out big time.

On our website, you can find different seal meat recipes:

Where to Buy Seal Meat?

Our seal meat is available in different butcher shops, fish markets and specialty stores and restaurants across the country.  Click here to find out about our most recent update of the locations offering seal meat.   Please note that you might have to call in advance to order your seal meat or to make sure that the restaurant is currently offering seal meat on its menu.

The Canadian Seal Harvest

The Canadian seal harvest is no different from any other wild game harvest. The Canadian government sets an annual quota, monitors and regulates the hunt, and ensures that any part of the animal used for human consumption is tested and safe.

You can find more info on the straight seal facts, seal populations, myths and realities on SeaDNA’s website. You can also find a lot of additional information on Seals & Sealing Network website.

The Arthritis Fight and SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil

Arthritis.

If you are reading this there’s a good chance you or someone you love struggles with it.

According to the Arthritis Society the affliction impacts 1-in-6 Canadians over the age of 15 every single day. That’s 4.6 million people in our country alone. And this number is only expected to increase.

There is no cure for arthritis but there are treatments, things we can do to relieve those stiff and painful joints. Omega-3 fatty acids are one avenue to turn to and we believe SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is your best and most complete option if you do head down this road.

DPA MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Most Omega-3’s help the body with Arthritis thanks to two fatty acids called EPA and DHA. SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil however, has THREE fatty acids doing the work: EPA, DHA and DPA.

DPA is a rare fatty acid that seal oil contains naturally in relatively balanced proportion to EPA and DHA. It is only found in high-concentrations in a few places on earth, another being mother’s milk. DPA has not been studied as intensively as EPA and DHA, but the science we do have illustrating the benefits of DPA is striking.

BLOOD VESSEL REPAIR

Damaged blood vessels lead to arthritis symptoms and DPA has been found to be ten times more efficient than EPA at a critical function that combats this: endothelial migration. This process helps vessels clear out problems and begin to be healthier.

Scientists in Japan discovered it took just 10 percent of the amount of DPA compared to EPA required to achieve maximal endothelial migration. This is a clear indication that DPA has real, tangible benefits for those in the fight against Arthritis.

STOP INFLAMMATION BEFORE IT STARTS

Another way Seal Oil and DPA helps is the way it interacts with proteins called C-reactive (CRP) that show up in the blood when there is inflammation in the body.

A study conducted at Pennsylvania University found that those who had high-levels of CRP had decreased levels of DPA.

This indicates those battling arthritis may benefit from Omega-3 supplementation with DPA and it could lead to less CRP in the blood.

IMPROVE YOUR OMEGA-3/6 RATIO

Quebec-based researcher Caroline Morin and her team have also looked at DPA and found it to be very potent in helping our body restore a healthy Omega-3/6 ratio. As we age, our body naturally shifts to a more Omega-6 heavy diet which can throw things out of whack internally. Adding Omega-3 to our diet is the only way to revert this change.

Morin et al found that DPA monoacylglyceride given in prevention is able to modify the _-3/_-6 ratio, thus providing anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative properties to DPA metabolites.

This is about as clear a finding you can ask to illustrate DPA can benefit the fight against inflammation.

Now, let us be clear: we are not suggesting that SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is a miracle drug that will end your arthritis woes overnight. We do strongly believe however, this is a great natural option to help and the science behind DPA does show it might be your best Omega-3 option.

SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is also natural (never artificially modified like concentrated fish oil), won’t lead to digestion or burping issues, is more easily integrated and absorbed by the body due to the seal being a mammal, and is purified to the highest industry standards.

It is also a sustainable and wonderfully Canadian product.

We encourage everyone that is dealing with arthritis or know someone who is, to try or recommend SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil, or to at least further examine it.

IT’S SHOW TIME: SEADNA AT CHFA EAST 2017!

If you’ve ever logged on to www.SeaDNA.ca then you’ve probably seen a simple statement. Four little words that encapsulate what SeaDNA Canada is all about:

Natural.
Unique.
Pure.
Canadian.

With this in mind we are gearing up for the biggest health show in Eastern Canada: CHFA Toronto.

The Canadian Health Food Association’s health show in T.O. brings together a “who’s who” of the industry in one (large and extremely busy) place. Over 850 exhibitors representing the best in the Canadian health industry will assemble at the Toronto Convention Centre on September 16th and 17th. SeaDNA is proud that our great seal products will be showcased to this educated and experienced crowd of health product experts.

SeaDNA will be presenting three products at CHFA:

  • Our Omega-3 Seal Oil capsules
  • Our Omega-3 Seal Oil in free form *New*
  • Our Chipotle, Pepper & Maple Seal Jerky *New*

SEADNA OMEGA-3 SEAL OIL CAPSULES

Both SeaDNA capsules and our new Lemon Oil have the same great properties and are a natural alternative to the often highly concentrated oils that promise artificially increased levels of EPA and DHA.

Why Seal Oil?

1/ Contains DPA:

DPA occurs naturally in few places: Seal Oil and a mother’s breast milk are two.  DPA intensifies the benefits of traditional Omega-3’s (DHA and EPA).

2/ 10 X More Effective:

The maximal stimulation of endothelial cell migration by DPA can be achieved using only 1/10 of the required EPA concentration.

3/ Easy to digest:

The mammalian molecular triglyceride structure of the seal is more easily accepted by the human body which means no “fishy burps” and optimal absorption for better results.

*NEW* SEADNA LEMON- FLAVOURED OMEGA-3 SEAL OIL

More Omega-3 Every Day:

Only 1 teaspoon equals 800mg of DHA+EPA+DPA!

Even Better Absorption:

Seal oil molecules have Omega-3 fats primarily in the sn-1 and sn-3 positions as opposed to the sn-2 position of fish oil. Fats in the sn-3 position are more readily absorbed by the body. In a liquid form seal oil has been shown to promote even faster absorption, leading to greater effectiveness.

Ideal For Kids:

No capsules to swallow and easy to add to the morning juice!

Easy To Incorporate Into Your Daily Routine:

Add it to your smoothie or salad!

*NEW* SeaDNA SEAL JERKY

The great, natural benefits seal can provide can also be found in our new seal jerky, which we are excited to also present at CHFA East.

A quick search of the Googles will tell you that a “Superfood” is defined as “a nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being.”

They are foods that offer something special. An extra boost from mother nature that separates it from the pack.

SeaDNA Seal Jerky is exactly this. In fact, it might just be the most nutritious jerky option on the market. Check this out:

Yes. Those are the correct values. For each 30g serving you get 15g of protein. This ratio is almost unheard of. And it has plenty of other great health benefits too.

Oh, We should also mention that SeaDNA Seal Jerky tastes fantastic!

Our smoky blend of chipotle, pepper & maple compliments the natural taste of the seal to create a high-energy, delicious jerky product that stands alone among its peers.

The good folks behind CHFA East in Toronto proclaim in their show preview that “there’s always something new to discover.”

We agree.

SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil and our natural Seal Jerky are ready to be discovered and experienced as this evolution of a Canadian tradition continues.

SeaDNA Canada will be in Booth 2112 at the Canada Health Food Association’s East Trade Show in Toronto on September 16th and 17th.

Seal Showcase at YUL EAT!

One of the most anticipated culinary events of the summer is right around the corner and we at SeaDNA are thrilled that seal is taking center stage.

YUL EAT brings together the epicurious looking to explore unique tastes and new experiences. We can safely say both will be delivered by the talented chefs utilizing our incredibly nutritious and delicious seal offerings.

For the chefs who are drawn to seal, it can be an inspiration. Locally sourced, sustainable, secure and uniquely Canadian; it serves as the canvas for these culinary artists.

Jonathan Lapierre-Rehayem and Ben Lenglet are two that have been captivated by seal. Together they are helping to mold the next generation of great Quebec chefs at the Institute de Tourisme et d’Hotellerie du Quebec (ITHQ) here in Montreal. And we are proud that their pupils will also be taking part in YUL EAT alongside their instructors, showcasing their world-class skills that belie their “student” label.

As a team Lapierre-Rehayem and Lenglet have worked with their students to produce something truly special for YUL EAT. Taking influence from Lapierre-Rehayem’s travels across Asia, this spirit will be infused with local products to take attendees on a culinary journey.

Their offering will see Yakitori style seal loin paired with deer heart and smoked bacon, lacquered with a maple-soya glaze. A homemade kimchi finishes the preparation, elevating the dish to a new level.

Their offering will be available in the Smokehouse area of YUL EAT on Sunday, September 3rd.

Also bringing seal to the masses at YUL EAT will be Marcelo Argueta. Passionate about quality local ingredients, his Northern inspired creation will be available in Le Parcours Gourmand on Saturday, September 2nd.

Le Parcours offers smaller bites than the Smokehouse and Argueta has designed a dish that combines his extensive skill and his love for wild flavours.

Utilizing unique and delicious seal sausage prepared by the most talented seal artisan on the East Coast, Argueta has worked hard to find Nordic and traditional ingredients to complete the offering.

Argueta will pair the seal sausage with mustard green chips, marigold and a sorrel emulsion. The ingredients intimate the seal’s natural environment and the clean and tasty offering will leave you in awe. Le Parcours Gourmand will open at noon on Saturday.

We encourage everyone to head down to YUL EAT, experience a fantastic culinary event and of course, discover just how amazing seal can be! More information can be found at: www.festivalyuleat.com

For more information on SeaDNA’s CFIA approved seal meat you can contact us directly at sales@seadna.ca or log on to our website at: www.seadna.ca.

If you are thinking about adding it to your restaurant menu, seal is considered a fish and not a game meat and is therefore able to be served at any restaurant in Canada. For ordering information and a price list contact us at sales@seadna.ca.

SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil: The Quality Supplement

Quality.

It’s a term that gets thrown around a lot in the supplement industry.  It signifies purity and safety. A product you can be assured is healthy for your family.

Quality.

When you have it, you aren’t afraid to tell others why you have it. It’s not boasting when it’s truth.

Quality.

It’s the backbone of our company and we have dedicated ourselves to it. We assure you SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is a product that is natural, unique, pure and Canadian.

“Sure”, you say. “That’s nice. Now prove it.”

Now, this might get a little technical in spots. But we’ll do our best to keep it as simple as possible.

Heavy Metals

Let’s start with something everyone recognizes as a serious health concern: heavy metals.

These can build up in the body leading to numerous health issues. Mercury and lead are probably the two that most can name off the top of their head. You can be assured though, these will never be a part of your SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil.

When we look at heavy metal levels in Omega-3 supplements, the industry standard baseline has been set by the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3’s (GOED). The non-profit organization helps ensure best practices are followed and all Omega-3 supplements are safe.

GOED has decided that when it comes to heavy metals, the Maximum Acceptable Level (MAL) is 0.1 mg / kg. In more common terms, this is 0.1 Parts Per Million (PPM).

As revealed through our third-party quality testing: the lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic content of SeaDNA Seal Oil were less than 0.01 parts per million (ppm).

*Results of SeaDNA seal oil analysis (November 2016)
.

Dangerous Chemicals
Next up, let’s examine dangerous chemicals such as dioxins, furans and PCB’s. They can be naturally occurring or the result of industrial processes. Either way, they have a habit of making it into the food chain.

Health Canada states that the daily “tolerable limit” for dioxins and furans is approximately 2.3 picograms / kg of body weight.

A picogram is an extremely small quantity: 1-trillionth of a gram. By these standards, an individual weighing 80 kg can safely ingest 184 picograms per day.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has set maximum limits of 1.00 picograms / kg for the supplement industry. They are extremely stringent.

SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is well below each limit and is a leader in this category in the industry. You would literally need to eat hundreds and hundreds of SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil capsules to even come close to Health Canada’s daily limit.

*Results of SeaDNA seal oil analysis (May 2016).

SeaDNA Seal Oil Refining

Oxidative Stability

Another huge quality factor is the oxidative factor of an Omega-3. These are broken down into two main categories: Peroxide Value (which measures the rancidity of an oil at the start of the process) and P-Anisidine Value (which measures the rancidity of an oil once it has been processed).

You want both these numbers to be as low as possible. It shows the quality you start with and the quality of the processing.

Again, SeaDNA is far and away well below these limits. The quality is there from the start and it continues through our world-class production process.

The final test we need to look at involving chemicals and impurities is the TOTOX Test. And this one is what it sounds like: a test of the total oxidation in an Omega-3 product. SeaDNA Seal Oil is less sensitive than fish oil to natural lipid oxidation. This is due to the predominant positioning of Triglycerides in seal oil in Sn1 and Sn3 as opposed to fish oil’s Sn2 positioning which oxides more easily.

And once again, SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil excels, proving its safety and quality:

*Results of SeaDNA seal oil analysis (May 2016).

Usine de transformation

Disintegration and Dissolution Test

You have this scientifically-proven quality Omega-3 product, now you want your body to utilize it as well as possible.

The industry standard for this is something called a “Disintegration and Dissolution Test.” It measures how quickly a supplement disintegrates (break apart) and dissolves in the stomach. The faster this happens, the sooner the body can begin to utilize all the benefits an Omega-3 provides.  The maximum allowed time is a whopping 15 minutes.

Yet again, using the test USP <2040>, SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil aces this exam. At an average disintegration time of an average of 38 seconds:

*Results of SeaDNA seal oil analysis (Feb. 2017).

So, we’ve illustrated the science showing SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is free of heavy metals and doesn’t even come close to exceeding the limits of the WHO and Health Canada for dioxins, furans and PCB’s.  We’ve seen how this natural product starts with quality and ends with quality. The TOTOX Value demonstrates just how pure it is and we’ve also seen just how quickly it’s integrated into the body.

All of this is guaranteed by our third-party testing of each batch (available upon request) and Health Canada issuing SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil a Natural Product Number.

Like we said, it’s not bragging if it’s the truth.

And the truth is: SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil has industry leading…you guessed it…quality.

New Research: Omega-3’s and ADHD

Well, parents, August long weekend is now behind us and you all know what that means: back to school is right around the corner.

For many this is an exciting time. But for others it can be a time of increasing stress. Especially if your child has been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) or you believe they may be dealing with it.

ADHD and Children in Canada

According to the Center for ADHD Awareness Canada (CADDAC) ADHD is the most common psychiatric issue facing kids in our country with 1 in 20 children believed to have the affliction. That means, on average, there’s at least one ADHD child in each classroom in the country.

ADHD can manifest itself in a number of ways and CADDAC states that:

“Children, adolescents and adults with untreated ADHD are at a greater risk for:
– Learning difficulties, less academic success, school dropout, and fewer years of schooling
– Additional mental health disorders and problems with self-esteem
– Substance abuse and a greater chance of becoming involved in the justice system
– More accidents and sustaining injuries, more automobile accidents and earlier death”

These are frightening possibilities for any concerned parent. But what is one to do?

CADDAC believes a multi-prong approach to fighting ADHD is the best. This can however, quite often include powerful and addictive stimulants.

Omega-3’s: A Natural Option?

There is now though, growing evidence that natural Omega-3 could be an effective tool to help children who struggle with attention issues.

A recent paper published in “Neuropsychopharmacology”  is shining a light on the benefits that Omega-3 supplements can have in the fight against ADHD.

The scientific work involved over 700 children and assessed how Omega-3 supplements impacted their cognitive abilities. The findings clearly pointed to Omega-3 supplements having a profoundly positive impact on ADHD children.

The study came to the conclusion that Omega-3 supplementation: “improves clinical symptoms and cognitive performances in children and adolescents with ADHD, and that these youth have a deficiency in [Omega-3] levels. Our findings provide further support to the rationale for using [Omega-3’s] as a treatment option for ADHD.”

In clear terms: the study determined that kids with ADHD need more Omega-3’s in their diet. And when they get them: they do better.

Why SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil?

Contains DPA

Omega-3 supplements are natural and safe for all ages. Their beneficial properties come from fatty acids: critical health building blocks. In most supplements, this includes DHA and EPA.

In SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil however, this includes DHA, EPA AND DPA. Seal oil is one of the only places on earth (outside of a mother’s breast milk) where DPA can be found in high concentrations. It has unique benefits on its own but can also act as a natural boost to augment EPA and DHA integration in the body. Click here to learn more about DPA

Toxin Free

Not only does SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil contain DPA you can be assured it’s pure and free of all toxins. We take great pride in delivering a product that is of the highest-quality. All batches are tested for impurities by a third party and we have posted those results for you to examine at : https://www.seadna.ca/quality/

Easy to digest

Another nice bonus for parents is that SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is easy to digest. The fact it comes from a mammal means our body is naturally more inclined to absorb and integrate its benefits. This means any concerns about “fishy burps” can be pushed aside.

We know there is nothing more important to a parent than the well-being of their child. We encourage you to speak to your family doctor about Omega-3 supplements as an option for ADHD treatment. If you do however choose to explore it, we recommend giving SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil a long look.

We should also point out that Omega-3 supplementation is good for people of all ages dealing with attention issues.

It’s natural, of guaranteed quality and is purely Canadian through and through. SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil has been classified as a Natural Product by Health Canada.

Cholesterol & SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil : Amazing Testimonial

We at SeaDNA believe our Omega-3 Seal Oil is the best and most complete supplement option for consumers.

We regularly promote its benefits here. But every once in a while we get an email from one of our customers that absolutely blows us away. Today was one of these days.

SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil has science behind it that shows it can be incredibly effective at combating bad cholesterol ratios. We have outlined the benefits and the studies on our website at: https://www.seadna.ca/fight-cholesterol-with-seadna-omega-3/

There is though no replacement for actual, tangible results and we are proud to say it appears this is the case. This letter came to us from a SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil customer in Alberta:

To SeaDNA,

I am a 61-year-old female who had been blessed with flawless health right up until I was 56 when I was diagnosed with severe tinnitus and its related symptoms including ear pressure and migraine headaches. Over the past 5 years the stress associated with this condition has wreaked havoc with many of my body’s systems, including indirectly affecting my bad cholesterol (LDL).

My cholesterol readings for the past five blood work check-ups were as follows:
Cholesterol: 5.04 – 6.27 – 6.13 – 6.43 – 6.27
HDL: 2.21 – 2.49 – 2.31 – 2.16 – 2.30
LDL: 2.49 – 3.46 – 3.31 – 3.91 – 3.52

My GP held off recommending a statin drug because he said my HDL readings were decent and lessened his concern with my rising LDL until…April 2017. At this time he encouraged me to take the statin drug, which actually scared me as I have low tolerance for prescription meds and all their various side effects and didn’t want to start on a powerful statin if I didn’t have to.

At this point, I asked my GP to give me 3 months so I could do some research and speak with a homeopath friend. It was this homeopath who actually recommended seal oil and provided the link to SeaDNA.

For the next 3 months I steadfastly took 6 seal oil capsules each day, along with increasing the cholesterol lowering fruits and veggies in my diet, increasing my daily water consumption, reducing simple sugars, and increasing my level of exercise weekly.

Yesterday, I got my blood work results back and was thoroughly amazed and ecstatic!

Here are my results:
Cholesterol: 5.20
HDL: 2.60
LDL: 2.33

So you can see that my good cholesterol (HDL) went up and my bad cholesterol (LDL) went down affecting my overall cholesterol in a positive way.

Wow!

I attribute my success to all of the above, but truly do not think my results would have been quite as dramatic without the seal oil. I’m definitely a convert and would highly recommend that anyone with similar concerns about embarking on a prescription med path do the 3 month trial beforehand. You too, may be pleasantly surprised and empowered about taking some control back over your life!

Thanks SeaDNA ; )

These results are exactly why we believe so strongly in this great Canadian product. It is naturally different thanks to the power of DPA and its fantastic HDL/LDL ratio and could be what makes a positive difference for your health as well. As always though, please consult your own doctor before making a major change to scheduled prescription medications.

SEAL OIL, DPA AND YOUR HEART

As we get older certain things begin to take greater priority in our lives. Our health is generally pretty high on this list.

It may not always be something serious but we all feel the changes as we age: a bit slower to get going in the morning. Aches and pains where none used to exist. That little voice in the back of your head saying, “Hey, maybe you should get this checked out.”

To help ensure we stay as healthy as possible there are things we can do: daily exercise, better eating habits and adding SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil to our diet routine.

OMEGA-3 AND CANADIAN NEEDS

You would be hard pressed to find any health professional that does not recognize the myriad benefits an Omega-3 provides. We believe SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is the best choice for this help. And if you are looking for a supplement, chances are you aren’t alone.

Statistics Canada estimates 40% of all Canadians aren’t getting enough Omega-3 in their diets. As a result, they state 42.7% of Canadians are at high risk of heart disease, 54.6% at intermediate risk and only 2.6% as low risk.

This means millions of Canadian seniors should be taking an Omega-3 supplement to help promote heart health. SeaDNA Seal Oil with DPA is a wonderful option.

WHY DOES DPA MATTER?

Maybe all other Omega supplements should be called Omega-2’s as they contain just EPA and DHA. SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil though, naturally adds a third in DPA. This doesn’t take anything away from the others. EPA and DHA are excellent health boosters. They just aren’t as complete or as naturally effective as a supplement with EPA, DHA AND DPA in balanced proportions.

DPA might just be the Omega-3 secret weapon and SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is packed with it.

SEAL OIL, DPA AND YOUR HEART

  • DPA is really the key to what makes SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil so effective. Studies have also shown it is much more effective at reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Science has discovered DPA to be 10 times more effective than EPA at promoting endothelial migration. This can help ensure overall heart health by reducing build-up within arteries.  (Toshie, 1996 / Aursnes, 2014)

  •  DPA can also help reduce the risk of blood clots as it is a more effective anti-platelete than EPA alone. (Kaur G, 2011)
  • DPA has also been shown to help boost both EPA and DPA levels in the body as well. To think about it in simple terms: DPA would hold the door open as EPA goes through. (Miller E. 2013)

DPA also helps to boost the benefits that Omega-3 fatty acids have been scientifically proven to do: promote better overall health, support brain activity and cognitive functions, help alleviate mood swings, reduce inflammation in joints due to arthritis, and many more. Again, this special fatty acid can only be found in seal oil.

SEAL OIL: DESIGNED FOR DIGESTION

Not only does seal oil provide the DPA difference, the fact the source is a mammal only means more benefits for us humans. Because the mammal cell structure is something our bodies recognize immediately, SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is digested, absorbed and integrated more effectively than fish-based options.

SeaDNA 500g

This also means cases of indigestion or “fishy burps” are extremely rare and should be a thing of the past.

SeaDNA: CERTIFIED QUALITY AND PURITY

We at SeaDNA also recognize that there is no substitute for quality. From procurement to processing this is top of mind for us. We know where our product comes from. We could probably even tell you who harvested the seal that is in your supplement. It is a secure, sustainable Omega-3 source and a Canadian tradition.

Before it reaches your home SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil is purified to the highest standards. It is free of heavy metals, toxins and contaminants. Health Canada has recognized its purity and quality by issuing SeaDNA Omega-3 Seal Oil a Natural Products Number. All lots are third party tested to further ensure that what you receive is a supplement that truly deserves a place in your home.
