WHY CHOOSE SEADNA LEMON-FLAVOUR SEAL OIL?
CONTAINS DPA
This rare fatty acid has superpowers and SeaDNA Seal Oil is one of the best sources of it on earth. DPA is a third Omega-3 to go along with EPA and DHA. And chances are your supplement doesn’t have it.
Science has shown DPA is ten times more efficient than EPA at helping promote arterial health (Toshie Kanayasu-Toyoda, 1996).
DPA also helps the body integrate EPA and DHA, boosting overall Omega-3 levels better than supplements that just contain EPA and DHA (Neil, 2010) (Miller, 2013).
SeaDNA Seal Oil is different from traditional fish based Omega supplements in many ways. DPA is a big part of that and the contrast continues at the molecular level.

RAPID ABSORPTION
This may be a little sciencey but it has to do with the location of the triglyceride molecules. For a better description, we turn to Dr. Evan Lewis who has shown seal oil has benefits for athletes through scientific study. He explains here why he chose to use seal oil in an excerpt from that study.
“Seal oil was chosen as the source of experimental N-3 supplement for this study because mammalian (seal) triacylglycerol molecules have N-3 PUFA fats primarily in the sn-1 and sn-3 positions, as opposed to the sn-2 position of fish oil N-3 PUFA [15, 16]. Fats in the sn-3 position are preferentially cleaved by sublingual lipases, and the sn-1 fat is cleaved in the small intestine, while the sn-2 fatty acid is left for later esterification [14, 17]. These structural differences are thought to enable chylomicrons and chylomicron remnants containing mammalian N-3 PUFA to have a higher rate of clearance from the blood compared to fish oil intake [18].”
In basic terms, Dr. Lewis chose seal oil because his science indicates the human body absorbs and integrates the benefits of Seal Oil faster than that of fish oils. One term in that excerpt many will be looking at is “cleaved by sublingual lipases.” This means absorption occurs under the tongue as soon as SeaDNA Lemon-Flavour Seal Oil enters your mouth. This can lead to a more efficient intake of the benefits of an Omega-3.
EASY TO DIGEST
Another benefit of seal oil is any digestion issues you may have with your supplement should be a thing of the past. This is a purified, natural Omega-3 oil. It is not concentrated or messed with. It is also mammal to mammal integration so our bodies naturally deal with seal oil well. So you can say goodbye to those familiar but unwelcome burps.
NATURAL & CANADIAN
Another clear reason to look at making the switch to SeaDNA Seal Oil is we, as Canadians, don’t need to look far for proof of the healthy properties seal oil can provide. How did folks in the remote North or Atlantic Coast without access to steady supplies of fruits and vegetables survive and thrive for generations? The seal and its nutritional benefits is a critical reason how.
When it comes down to it, we all need Omega-3’s in our diet, no matter how old we are. We strongly believe seal oil is your best Omega-3 option and our new lemon-flavour is the best tasting Omega-3 supplement you have ever tried.
